Me no blog
I'm so not good at this blogging thing. I started this full of great intentions and ideas yet it has gone nowhere. I'm just not a writer. I'd rather create art with my hands, things I can feel, touch, move around, glue, sew, colour, texture!

Christmas Tree Advent Calendar - TUTORIAL
Start by gathering your supplies. You will need:
- 25 matchboxes
- 3 different 12x12 scrapbooking papers
- 12 inch paper trimmer
- double-sided tape
- glue stick
- scissors
- pencil
- number stickers
Next, take the inside drawers out of the boxes, set them aside and assemble the outer boxes like this.
Stick the pieces together in groups of two (one stack of 3) using the double sided tape.
Then tape them together like this.
Then cut 1 sheet of paper in strips slightly larger than the length of the boxes. To save paper only add paper to the exposed areas of the boxes. Add double-sided tape to these areas.
Wrap paper tightly around the boxes, creasing on the edges.
All pieces should now look like this.
Now they should look like this.
Now add double-sided tape to the bottom side of the top 3 layers and the top side of the bottom layer, no tape is needed on the largest layer.
Stick the 3rd layer to the 4th.
the top piece to the 2nd.
Now you are ready to start prettying up the drawers!!
Measure the width of the inside of the drawers (only need to measure one). Cut strips of paper this width to fit inside the drawers.
Wrap one strip around the length of a drawer and cut to size. Cut all strips this length.
Cover strip with glue using the glue stick and adhere to the bottom of drawer first, wrapping the length around the drawer finishing on the inside end piece.

Jaimes' new dress
Jaime received 2 new dresses today! They came in the mail from a lovely swapper in the USA, Carol aka 'sfhope', she sent them to me for my April wish in the Wishlist group. She also sent a cute little 'bee' hat. My favourite would have to be the pink one!
